I have been made privy to information regarding this cemetery due to the much-appreciated efforts of Philip J. DiBlasi
at the University of Louisville. He and his associates have made every possible effort to ensure that records from
Eastern Cemetery are not lost and are made available to the people who are in need of them. The information below
has been collected through both email and written correspondence with Dr. DiBlasi, and thus I am now making the
information available to you. |
I am currently in the process of processing photographs, scanning lot-cards and maps of the cemetery to be posted
here along with the other information I have gathered. If you, too, have information relating to this cemetery
that you would like to have included on this site, please contact me via email.

Lastly, Mr. DiBlasi has also posted a very useful list on his website. A court order was issued on 28 July 2003 for the
recovery and movement of cremains of individuals in the columbarium (the Chapel) of Eastern Cemetery. If the name of your
relative is on the page listed below, please contact Dr. DiBlasi on how to recover the remains.
